The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has advanced structural renewal projects across multiple districts of Istanbul under the state-backed "Half Is on Us" (Yarısı Bizden) campaign. Led by Minister Murat Kurum, the program subsidizes half the construction costs for homeowners rebuilding at-risk or non-seismic-compliant residential properties, aiming to accelerate disaster preparedness across vulnerable neighborhoods.
