Galataport Istanbul, the primary cruise port facility on the Bosphorus, has outlined a long-term goal of welcoming 1 million cruise passengers annually. According to reporting by Türkiye Today and PressReader, Port Operations Director Tolga Tuncay stated that the port expects approximately 200 cruise ship calls and 520,000 visitors by the end of 2026. Despite regional geopolitical shifts affecting maritime transit routes, the facility continues to focus on expanding its homeport passenger base to support local commercial activity.
