Istanbul Hosts 11th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions
Experts from around the globe gathered at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul for the 11th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions (ICBA). Organized in collaboration with the Green Crescent (Yeşilay), the three-day event unites scientists, researchers, and psychologists to address the growing risks of behavioral addictions, including excessive internet use, gambling, shopping, and disordered eating. During the opening, Professor Mehmet Dinç, President of the Green Crescent, emphasized that methods for combating addiction must evolve in the digital age, noting that environmental and systemic factors play a significant role alongside individual traits.
