Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium Selected to Host the 2027 Spanish Super Cup

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has officially awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Supercopa de España (Spanish Super Cup) to Istanbul, Turkey. The four-team tournament will take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in the Başakşehir district from February 2 to February 7, 2027.

The competition features defending champions FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Real Sociedad. The move marks a temporary relocation from Saudi Arabia due to scheduling conflicts with the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. Istanbul was selected following a bidding process evaluating submissions from multiple global venues, making Turkey only the third nation outside of Spain to host the competition.
