Sydney Morning Herald Ranks Istanbul’s Blue Mosque Among Top World Landmarks
Australian news outlet The Sydney Morning Herald featured Sultan Ahmed Mosque, commonly known as the Blue Mosque, in its list of 25 notable man-made attractions for global travelers.
Constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the reign of Sultan Ahmed I, the landmark remains recognized globally for its hand-painted blue İznik tiles, cascading domes, and six minarets defining Istanbul's historic peninsula.
