High Ticket Prices Emerge as Main Barrier to Cultural Participation in Istanbul
According to the recent Istanbul Barometer survey conducted by the Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA), economic factors are heavily influencing residents' engagement with the arts. The study revealed that 45.8% of Istanbul's residents did not attend any cultural or arts events over the past year. Respondents consistently cited high ticket and entry prices as the primary obstacle preventing their participation in the city's cultural offerings.
