Annual Boğaziçi Triathlon Closes Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge for Intercontinental Race
The sixth annual Boğaziçi Triathlon took place across the Bosphorus Strait, bringing together approximately 1,000 domestic and international athletes. The course began with a 2.2-kilometer open-water swim from Kanlıca to Küçüksu, followed by a 40-kilometer cycling leg over the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and a 10-kilometer run between Küçüksu and Çubuklu.
Vehicular traffic was temporarily halted on the bridge to facilitate the cycling leg. The 2026 edition also introduced an aquathlon division (swim and run) to accommodate competitors participating without bicycles.
