Istanbul Medipol University Researchers Publish Periodontology Study in Nature Portfolio

Researchers from the Department of Periodontology at Istanbul Medipol University’s Institute of Health Sciences—including Dorukhan Uçar, Naif Mert Yılmaz, and Anıl—have authored a scientific study published in Nature Portfolio.

The research investigates the physiological levels of salivary growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) and its correlation with reduced gingival crevicular fluid volume in periodontitis patients. The findings contribute to ongoing clinical evaluations regarding the efficacy of non-invasive salivary biomarkers in identifying inflammatory periodontal conditions.
