Severe Storms and Traffic Incidents Strike Istanbul Following Weather Warnings
Following warnings from the Directorate General of Meteorology, heavy rain clouds and severe storms from the Black Sea have affected various parts of Istanbul. Areas on the Anatolian side, including Şile, Sultanbeyli, Maltepe, and the Princes' Islands, experienced heavy rainfall that led to severe traffic disruptions. According to reports, at least 10 people were injured in traffic accidents caused by the torrential rains, including a major chain collision involving 11 vehicles on the O-3 highway in Esenyurt and another crash in Üsküdar.
