Wanted Moroccan Drug Trafficker Apprehended in Şişli

Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Unit conducted a joint operation resulting in the detention of Mohamed Boulakhrif, an internationally wanted drug trafficking suspect. The suspect, who was sought under an Interpol diffusion notice, was apprehended at a residence in Istanbul's Şişli district. Investigators noted that the suspect had utilized encrypted communication applications in an attempt to evade surveillance. Following the raid, he was transferred to a local police station for ongoing procedural actions.

UEFA Europa League Final Jersey Unveiled & Aston Villa's Journey  

 As Istanbul prepares to host the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League final on May 20, the limited-edition official jersey for the event has been officially unveiled. The jersey's design is heavily rooted in Turkish heritage and incorporates prominent city landmarks. Notably, it features a stylized illustration of Beşiktaş Stadium on the right chest, a prominent tribute that highlights the central role of the Beşiktaş football club and local Süper Lig culture in the city's sporting identity. The jersey will be available both physically in Istanbul and virtually in EA SPORTS FC 26. In related European football developments, English club Aston Villa is heading to Istanbul following an emphatic performance at Villa Park, securing another point as they advance in their continental campaign.

Geçtiğimiz yıl Avrupa Futbol Şampiyonası (EURO 2032) ve yaklaşan kupa finallerinin koordinasyonu amacıyla UEFA'nın şehirde faaliyete geçmesinin ardından, FIFA'nın da en kısa sürede kendi merkezini açarak Türkiye ile uluslararası futbol kurumları arasındaki stratejik işbirliklerini genişletmesi planlanmaktadır.

Text: Batı merkezli bilgi sistemlerine ve anlatılara karşı alternatif yaklaşımların tartışıldığı Dünya Dekolonizasyon Forumu, İstanbul'da düzenlenen iki günlük oturumların ardından sona ermiştir. Etkinlikte, mevcut küresel güç yapılarına meydan okuyan yeni düşünce biçimleri ve adil bir dünya arayışı ele alınmıştır. Forumdaki tartışmalar; sosyal medya, teknoloji, dijital kültür ve egemen algoritmik sistemlerin ulusötesi etkilerini inceleyen antropolojik araştırmalar ile dekolonyalitenin bilgi üretimi üzerindeki dönüştürücü etkisini sentezlemek için de önemli bir zemin sunmuştur.
