Dark Fiber Cut Triggers Network Outage Across Istanbul Region
On August 8, 2026, Cloudflare reported network performance degradation and connectivity issues affecting the Istanbul region. According to technical updates from the infrastructure provider, the service disruptions were caused by a physical loss of dark fiber cables. Operations teams and third-party vendors are currently engaged in repair efforts to restore full regional fiber connectivity.
