Thunderstorms Forecasted to Bring Short-Term Relief from Severe Istanbul Heatwave
Following a sustained period of elevated summer temperatures in northwestern Turkey, meteorologists report that a changing weather front is set to disrupt the regional heatwave. The intense summer climate recently prompted high volumes of activity on digital prediction platforms like Polymarket, where traders actively speculated on the peak temperatures registered in Istanbul.
According to meteorological models released by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS), a significant weather system carrying heavy rain showers and localized thunderstorms will move across the Marmara region.
