High-Level Diplomatic and Political Forums Convene in Istanbul
Istanbul recently served as the host city for key geopolitical and domestic political discussions. Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met with Tom Barrack, the U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Envoy for Syria, to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments. Concurrently, a two-day conference focusing on domestic politics took place, bringing together Kurdish politicians, academics, rights advocates, and writers. The assembly issued calls to integrate ongoing Kurdish peace efforts with broader democratic reforms in the country.
