Türkiye Radyo Televizyon Kurumu (TRT) tarafından bu yıl 8. kez düzenlenen "12 Punto 2026" senaryo geliştirme ve ortak yapım platformu İstanbul'da kapılarını açtı. 30 farklı ülkeden yaklaşık 60 sinema profesyonelini, yönetmeni ve yapımcıyı bir araya getiren bir haftalık etkinlik; paneller, ustalık sınıfları ve film gösterimleriyle sinema sektörünün geleceğini şekillendiriyor.

Bu yıl uluslararası jüri başkanlığını iki Oscar ödüllü ünlü İranlı yönetmen Asghar Farhadi'nin üstlendiği etkinlik kapsamında, "Filistin Sineması Özel Bölümü" ve 15 Temmuz darbe girişiminin 10. yılına ithaf edilen kısa film projeleri açık havada sinemaseverlerle buluşacak. 12 Punto, 19 Temmuz’da TRT 2'den canlı yayınlanacak ödül töreniyle sona erecek.

İstanbul'daki vakıf (özel) üniversitelerinde akademik yılın sona ermesiyle birlikte yeni bir toplu işten çıkarma dalgası başladı. Akademisyen dernekleri, sendikalar ve meslek örgütleri tarafından yapılan ortak açıklamada, 1 Ocak 2024 ile 8 Temmuz 2026 tarihleri arasında en az 446 akademisyenin görevine son verildiği duyuruldu.

Üniversite yönetimlerinin işten çıkarma gerekçesi olarak "norm kadro fazlası", "ekonomik daralma" ve "bölüm kapatma" iddialarını öne sürdüğü belirtilirken, akademisyenler ise kadroların eğitim niteliğine göre değil, ticari gelir-gider hesaplarına göre daraltıldığını savunuyor. Mahkemelerin verdiği işe iade kararlarının da birçok kurum tarafından uygulanmadığı veya işe iade edilenlerin kısa süre sonra tekrar işten çıkarıldığı aktarılıyor.
