Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of a new AWS Local Zone situated in Istanbul, Türkiye. This infrastructure deployment extends core AWS cloud services—such as Amazon EC2 computing instances and Amazon EBS storage—closer to regional end users and metropolitan business hubs. The localization aims to deliver single-digit millisecond latency for applications, assist organizations in meeting strict data residency requirements, and support localized AI/ML inference workloads.
