İstanbul Valiliği, 1 Mayıs Emek ve Dayanışma Günü kapsamında Kadıköy ve Kartal ilçelerinde düzenlenecek iki resmi mitinge onay verirken, şehrin diğer noktalarındaki tüm gösteri ve yürüyüşlere yasak getirmiştir. Alınan güvenlik önlemleri doğrultusunda, İstanbul'un Beyoğlu, Beşiktaş, Şişli ve Fatih ilçelerinde birçok ana arter trafiğe kapatılmış olup, bölgedeki toplu taşıma merkezlerinin de geçici olarak hizmet vermeyeceği bildirilmiştir.
